British Dragonfly Society
The aim of the British Dragonfly Society is to promote and encourage the study and conservation of dragonflies and their natural habitats, especially in the United Kingdom. This website gives illustrated information on the distribution and ecology of dragonflies and damselflies.

UK Butterflies

UKMoths
Ian Kimber's UKMoths is an online guide to the moths of Great Britain and Ireland. The ultimate aim of this site is to illustrate as many species of British moths as possible. Over 2400 species have been recorded in the UK, and currently over 1300 of these are featured.

What's this caterpillar? 
This site features over 800 caterpillars of Britain & Europe. If you have found a caterpillar but can't identify it, this is your first port of call! Identify caterpillars by the plant you found it on or by description, whether it is hairy or smooth, with antlers or just slug-like. Colour images (plates) of caterpillars will help to identify them.
